Nile Hollis - DJ & Singer

Biography

Nile started out his life in music at the age of 11 as a bass player.

Throughout his teens he pursued his bass playing in bands such as The Inserts, the Dance Merchants and finally in his late teens and early twenties Joking Aside.

Upon the demise of Joking Aside in the early 90's, Nile continued playing for a short while in various cover bands and filling in for peoples illnesses etc, but never really settled and in the end hung up his bass in the late 90's.

In the early 2000's however, Nile's hobby of singing came into it's own, and with the help of his partner, Tania, he decided to go out on his own as a solo singer.

Since then Nile's show has gone from strength to strength, through the pub circuit, the working men's club circuit and onto the larger stages at Haven and Park resorts holiday camps, as well as nightclub and bar venues.

Nile is a true performer, and is equally as happy on a large stage or working a more intimate venue. He has drawn influences from his days in bands, his youth and his Djing to provide an unmissable high energy show of 80's to charts.

His Djing started a little later-- and he ended up running a popular town centre event every Friday for 2 years. Nile now does 2 online radio shows a week on monkeyradio.co.uk and addiction radio on facebook, and offers a full mobile disco catering for any event or club / pub work as required.
